Life on the Mississippi

-For the past 5 years WATERSHEDSUNITE has been researching the Cedar River watershed. We have uncovered a wealth of information in the historical accounts we have read and the interviews we have conducted. Through this research we strive to bring an understanding of the Cedar and the vital importance of its waters.

Our latest project specifically has targeted exploring the Cedar River here in Linn County Iowa. The result of this exploration is our new video documentary Our River, The Cedar . In this 50 minute journey we feature beautiful on the water footage combined with illuminating interviews from local citizens, fishermen, historians, and agency experts.

We have created this video to re-introduce all of us to a local treasure. It is our hope that through our projects we can learn from each other and create a platform for discussion.
